His theatre company Aasakta Kalamanch, which he co-founded in 2003, has become a launching pad for over 45 plays in Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, Marwari, and English. Beyond the stage, he's directed films like The Bright Day, Medium Spicy, and Toh Ti ani Fuji, showcasing his ability to move seamlessly between different storytelling formats. With a Masters in Theatre Practice & Direction from the University of Exeter, UK, and a graduation from the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai, Takalkar brings both artistic depth and entrepreneurial spirit to everything he touches. What sets Takalkar apart is his versatility and his commitment to regional cinema and theatre.
