After serving as a Corporal in the Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1974, he transitioned into acting and was introduced to Tamil cinema by legendary director K. Balachander through the 1976 film *Pattina Pravesam*—the same director who also gave him his iconic stage name. Over his illustrious journey, Delhi Ganesh appeared in more than 400 films, earning widespread recognition for his incredible versatility in supporting roles that he made memorable through sheer craft and dedication.
